Glenn Rieder Breaks Ground In West Allis

Glenn Rieder, Inc., a Milwaukee based provider of architectural millwork and custom interior finishes, broke ground on its new West Allis facility on Friday, May 19 at 9 a.m.

The city closed on the Glenn Rieder Inc. sale of the Juneau Highlands Business Park located at 1960 S. 67th Place on Wednesday, May 10. Glenn Rieder intends to begin construction of their approximately $10 million, 120,000 square foot industrial facility this summer, and plans to be operating in their new building within nine months.

The new facility will allow Glenn Rieder to increase production capacity and enhance its reputation as a leader in the architectural millwork industry. In addition, the company expects to add additional staff and establish the West Allis facility as its main headquarters.

“We are pleased to welcome Glenn Rieder to West Allis,” says Dan Devine, mayor of West Allis. “The addition of their new facility is more exciting evidence of the renaissance West Allis is currently experiencing. As innovative, growing companies such as this join our community, they bring with them twenty-first century employment opportunities and a commitment to West Allis that will continue to move us forward.”

The company will host a ground breaking ceremony on Friday, May 19 at 9 a.m. with one hundred of their Milwaukee based employees in attendance, as well as representatives of Berghammer Builders, Park Bank, Zimmerman Architects, various technical consultants including legal, civil engineering, environmental, and geotechnical, and Mayor Devine and community leaders from the city of West Allis.
