American Express Centurion Lounge San Francisco, CA

Glenn Rieder recently completed the construction and installation of the American Express Centurion Lounge in Terminal 3 at the San Francisco International Airport.  The Centurion Lounge is a state-of-the-art relaxation area designed to elevate the travel experience with a special airport retreat.  Exclusive to American Express Platinum Card members, this unique space provides the ultimate travel amenities including a premium bar, shower suites and fresh seasonal menu fare.

Our partners on the project included Hellmuth Obata & Kassabaum (architect), Square Peg Design (designer), Turner Construction (general contractor) and the American Express Corporation (owner/developer).  The project was Leadership in Energy & Environmental (LEED), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Certified.

Using black walnut and blackened steel trims, Glenn Rieder fabricated a breathtaking floor to ceiling wine cabinet and racking display.  Premium millwork casework was featured throughout the Centurion Lounge's foyer, bar and common areas.  Custom manufactured wall and ceiling planking and intricate molding details served as the prominent design feature.  Glenn Rieder also provided marble, granite and quarzite countertops to compliment the elegant millwork finishes.

The Centurion Lounge marked our first project with the American Express Corporation.  It was an exciting project and we were thrilled to work with such an incredible group of partners.
