Choctaw Casino - South Casino Remodel Durant, Oklahoma
Glenn Rieder is pleased to announce the completion of the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma requested a complete remodel of their South Casino structure and is a prime example of our speed to market abilities, as we completed the entire project within a 90-day timeframe from the project award date.
Our partners in the project were Klai Juba (architect), CLEO Design and Manhattan Construction Company. The project scope was wide ranging and featured numerous custom millwork and finishes, with an array of materials, including:
Decorative Corten Rusted Metals
Blackened Tube Steel Truss Hanger & Mending Plates
Blackened Steel Column Bands & Decorative Bolts
Red Dragon, Mascarello & Geriba Solid Granite
Eclipse Quartz & Bronzite Marble
Red Barbed Wire & Chicken Wire Resins
Architectural millwork was the forefront of the project and enabled Glenn Rieder to showcase a multitude of unique finishes throughout the Casino.
Intended to mimic an old barn theme, we utilized a faux rusted decking sitting on perimeter wood rafters with vaulted bar ceiling with faux wood trusses, rusted metal decking and backlit theme embedded resin windows.
The drink rails included multi-brand beer bottle ends cut off from the bottle, poured into a grey resin and backlit for a country, rustic effect. We complimented the ambiance by adding tortoise plant reeds, grain seeds, antiquing, frosting and ambering affects.
The poker machine bar included Red Dragon Granite and Stained Hickory Wood with aged paint. Red Barbed Wire and Chicken Wire resins backlit pallet themed columns and soffit light boxes were features throughout the project, adding to the authentic, rustic feel.
Transaction Counters & Cash Cages
We incorporated Rusted Corten metal panel surrounds with Mascarello Granite waterfall front counter tops for transaction and operations areas, cash cages and chip drawers.
The Pit Trusses are a suspended element of Post and Beam style trusses, featuring blackened steel ornamental metal suspension truss posts and decorative mending plates. The trusses spanned over 75’ long and 23’ wide over the table gaming pit.
This marked our first project with the Choctaw Nation. We are proud to have been part of such a wonderful team.
