Cabana Bay Beach Resort Orlando, FL

Glenn Rieder completed a comprehensive remodel of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort (part of Universal Orlando), a retro-themed hotel in Orlando, Florida.  Our partners in the project were Universal Parks & Resorts, Daroff Design (designer), Lindsay Pope Brayfield Clifford (architect) and Balfour Beatty Construction.

Architectural millwork was the centerpiece of this low-rise public space that included fixtures, seating areas, a show-stopping staircase, bowling alley, TV lounge and various retail spaces.   Using teak grain laminate and an assortment of vibrant paint colors, Glenn Rieder was able to transform this property into a must-stay resort for Universal.

A gorgeous curved monumental staircase, comprised of solid walnut lumber and a high traffic topcoat, highlighted the retro theme concept of the resort.  Vintage bent glass display cases in the retail façade were fabricated with ultra clear tempered glass.

Glenn Rieder incorporated incredible two-story solid walnut lumber wall paneling, as well as custom serpentine desks with marble countertops for the registration, valet and concierge areas of the resort.

The highlight of the resort featured jaw-dropping lobby bar with backlit acrylic paneling, stainless steel accents and natural teak grain laminate.  It also featured curved seating created with decorative metal.

The completion of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort marked our first project with Universal Parks & Resorts.  It was a wonderful project and we were thrilled to work with such an incredible team.
